Echoes of Time
This video project was inspired by my deep concern for the elderly, particularly those residing in care facilities, who experienced profound loneliness during the pandemic. This immediately reminded me of my grandfather back in my hometown. To bridge the distance and offer him a sense of distant familial companionship, I embarked on creating a video that features my grandfather as the central character .
At 93 years old, my grandfather tells me stories not only recounting his personal journey but also holding the collective memories of our family, serving as portals to another era. Through his narratives, I felt transported through time, walking historical streets with him and hearing echoes of the past .
This project underscores that we are all connected by the threads of time and history, forming a grand tapestry of intergenerational stories. These stories are not mere narratives; they are bridges that span generations.
Through this project, I hope to inspire others to cherish and document the stories of their elders, fostering stronger connections between generations and preserving the rich tapestry of our collective history .
