My project employs a satirical approach to highlight the cruelty and absurdity concealed within the phenomenon of medical debt. I hope to depict how medical debt can exacerbate social disparities and wield control over one's physical well- being . I also draw attention to concerns that only the wealthy can maintain good health. The exorbitant costs of healthcare make it an unattainable luxury for ordinary citizens, denying them the services that should be a protected right.

The core of the installation features a gigantic medical bill suspended above a hospital bed, creating a visually arresting juxtaposition. This larger -than-life medical bill symbolizes the crushing weight of healthcare debt that countless individuals and families bear in the United States.
As viewers approach the installation, they will confront the stark juxtaposition between the massive bill and the hospital bed. The bed, typically a symbol of care and recovery, becomes a metaphorical battleground where individuals must grapple with the financial burdens associated with healthcare. The bill ominously looms overhead, underscoring the conditional nature of life-saving procedures based on economic class.
Through its satirical and thought-provoking nature, this project encourages a critical examination of the healthcare system, sparking discussions about policy reform and social justice. Ultimately, it serves as a powerful call to action, inspiring individuals and policymakers to address the inequities within the healthcare system .
